Black and White Tv?

I don't really consider myself a political fanatic or junkie. As a matter a fact I don't especially care for politics much at all. However I watched the debate between John McCain and Barack Obama a few days ago. I wasn't exactly sure where each candidate stands on issues like welfare, balancing the budget, the war, or other controversial issues that our country is facing but something about the candidates did strike my eye. Every question sent McCain’s way was fielded with a worrisome look and lots of blinking, where as I noticed that Obama seemed more composed about the questions being asked. I couldn't tell you whether the "facts" they were throwing back and forth were true but regardless Obama seemed more at ease like he knew exactly what needed to be done. With this in mind I thought about who were the greater presidents throughout the nations history. I began noticing a trend that most of the "Great" presidents that we've had throughout our nations history have been great orators. I know it may seem ignorant and I'll admit its probably not the best way to go about voting for a presidential candidate but I feel like Obama has a greater ability to captivate an audience like the American people and in turn get the nation on the same page for some of it's more pressing issues. If anyone saw the debate let me know what you thought about each candidates public speaking and how the fielded the questions.

I agree that from watching what I have of the debate so far(yay DVR, boo work) that Obama just looked more comfortable both when he listened and when he answered. I think it is important that a future leader project to the people through his public appearances that he has confidence in his answers and where he stands. Some people may agree with McCain or Obama more but Obama is definitely the better orator.

I think that both Obama and McCain looked nervous and unsure when they were answering questions. I do think though that Obama looked more relaxed. The way that they answered questions were wishy washy. I would like to think that our next president will be better than the disaster we have had for the last 8 years but from the way that both Obama and McCain answered questions, I am nervous. I guess we will see.....

Now since the elections are over and our decision has been made, I truly think that we made the best choice for the future of America. I believe that both presidents were entitled to be nervous during their pre election debates, but I do believe that Obama as consequently stepped up and is projecting the overall sensation of hope and change that we need.
